Nordic area

Nordic facilities in Abondance Valley stretch the length of the Dranse river in 3 resorts: Abondance, La Chapelle d'Abondance and Châtel. The valley is a stone's throw from Switzerland and offers access to the Portes du Soleil downhill network. The valley's nordic area has almost 40km of ski slopes and nordic circuits linked and located between 900m and 1500m.

The ski slopes:

7 slopes are signposted and groomed for both disciplines (skating and traditional)and offer something for all levels:

    * 2 green: 2.6 km
    * 3 blue: 10 km
    * 2 red: 11.4 km

The La Chapelle d'Abondance offers 24 km of ski slopes linked with the nordic circuits of Abondance (7km) and Châtel (9km). Châtel village offers one ski slope, the Corne Noire (2.4km) which makes the link with La Chapelle d'Abodance area.

(1) = Available on the whole sites, members of Haute-Savoie Nordique and gives you a 50% reduction on daily tickets for any other France Nordique member site as for any site of Romandie Ski de Fond.

(3)= Abondance, la Chapelle d’Abondance and the Corne Noire pist in Châtel.

Adult: from 16 to 70 yrs old.
Junior: from 6 to 16 yrs old.
Group rates : over 13 people.

Free for:

people under 6 and over 70 yrs old
for people having a valid La Chapelle ski pass.
on Châtel and Abondance slopes (nordic circuits open to walkers and snowshoeing) except Corne Noire : link with La Chapelle.

The nordic circuits:

You can use those circuits on cross-country skiing, walking or snowshoe trekking, on 16km. Access to those circuits is free (for the Super-Châtel one you'll have to by a ticket for the lift). I
